Abstract The application of geophysical prospecting methods has certain preconditions. It is difficult to solve relatively complex problems by a single method. The comprehensive geophysical prospecting technology improves the interpretation accuracy of geophysical prospecting results by integrating the advantages of various methods. Aiming at the problem of goaf and structural hidden danger in Shanxi Jiexiu Yitang Anyi Coal Industry Co., Ltd., a comprehensive detection technology based on transient electromagnetic method and direct current resistivity method was adopted. The distribution of goaf and goaf water accumulation area, structure and structural water abundance area was basically identified, and the safety of coal mine production was provided. The detection example verified that the combined exploration mode of ' transient electromagnetic scanning and DC resistivity positioning ' had a significant effect. In the initial stage, the transient electromagnetic method was used to carry out water-bearing scanning in the whole area to identify potential key abnormal areas. In the subsequent stage, the symmetrical four-pole direct current resistivity profile method was used for detailed investigation, aiming at accurately determining the water content of the abnormal area. The phased, multi-method verification model ensured the reliability of the final interpretation results.
