Abstract Guojiatan Coal Mine in Northern Shaanxi is a water-preserved coal mining experimental demonstration area in the third phase planning area of Yushen Mining Area in Shaanxi Province. In order to provide reliable geological basis for ensuring mine construction and subsequent coal mining, three-dimensional seismic exploration technology was used to find out the hidden disaster-causing factors including faults and folds greater than 5 m in the demonstration area. The selection of seismic exploration data acquisition parameters directly determined the accuracy of seismic exploration results. Based on the shallow seismic geological conditions in the study area, this paper selected representative areas with phreatic water level and red soil layer for seismic exploration tests. Firstly, according to the survey results of low velocity zone, the contrast test of different well depths was made, and then the contrast test of dosage was made. Through the quantitative analysis of the experimental seismic records, the well depth and charge used in the acquisition and construction of seismic exploration data were summarized, which laid a good foundation for obtaining high quality original seismic data, and also provided reference for seismic exploration in other similar areas.
