| Research on roadway support based on self-stabilized balanced arch theory |

Abstract Roadway support has a great influence on the stability of roadway and the progress of excavation engineering. If the support strength is insufficient, it will lead to the instability of roadway and cause safety accidents. If the support strength is too large, it will cause unnecessary expenditure and reduce the progress of roadway excavation. In order to solve the problem of roadway support in Weiqiang Mine and improve the progress of roadway excavation, this study designed the support parameters of the roadway in the third panel of Weiqiang Mine based on the theory of self-stable balanced arch. FLAC3D numerical simulation software was used to test the stability of the roadway, and the consumption materials of the two support schemes were compared and analyzed, so as to further improve the progress of roadway excavation in the third panel of Weiqiang Mine while taking into account the stability of the roadway. The research showed that the support scheme based on the self-stable equilibrium arch theory reduced 29 000 bolts, 2 000 anchor cables and their corresponding trays, anchoring agents and other materials compared with the original scheme, which greatly reduced the production cost of the mine, improved the progress of the roadway excavation project, and the stability of the roadway was not significantly reduced, which met the requirements of mine safety production.
