Abstract Taking the actual goaf situation of Shanxi Xiyang Mahui Mine as the research object, the shallow seismic reflection wave method, high density pole sounding, hole wave velocity test of these three physical exploration method were introduced in detail, on this basis, the stability of goaf area was described，according to the above method and actual the situation, the mining of the mine in the future was forecasted, which had the certain instruction function for exploration and forecast of mine.
