Abstract Since the commissioning of the coal-to-hydrogen combined plant, the pipeline of the acid gas cryocooler 722E605 in the low-temperature methanol washing unit of the follow-up purification part of the plant was frequently blocked, resulting in an increase in temperature after the clean acid gas is cooled, the methanol in the gas can not be condensed and carried to the downstream sulfur recovery unit, which results in the fluctuation of the operation of the sulfur unit The differential pressure of the rich load H2S methanol filter 722SR601 reaches the alarm high limit value in a short time, the artificial backwashing was frequent, the safety production and the equipment operation risk increase, thus restricting the long period and full load of the device to run smoothly. Based on the analysis of the abnormal operation of the above-mentioned equipment, the temporary and fundamental countermeasures are put forward to ensure the stable and long-term production of the equipment.
