Abstract Coal plays an important role in China 's energy consumption. Coal washing is a way to achieve efficient utilization of coal. The washing system of Huayang No.1 Coal Mine can not meet the actual needs, and the product quality is not high, which can only be used as power coal for market sales. In order to improve the economic benefits and simplify the coal quality analysis process, the mine decided to adopt the multi-seam coal quality analysis method to simplify the analysis process and improve the work efficiency. The practice shows that the multi-coal seam coal quality analysis method in Huayang No.1 Coal Mine is feasible. Finally, the scientific and efficient allocation and mining of steam coal and coking coal is realized, the work efficiency of coal preparation and blending is improved, and considerable economic benefits are created.
