Abstract In order to investigate the gas extraction effect of 15123 bottom drainage roadway in Xinjing Mine, through field test and numerical simulation analysis, the gas extraction amount and effective extraction radius of borehole before and after drainage were studied. The results show that the effective extraction radius of the borehole can reach 0.7 m after 40 days of continuous extraction, and the effective extraction radius of the borehole can reach 1.2 m after 70 days of continuous extraction. It is estimated that the effective extraction radius of the borehole can reach about 3 m after 150 days of continuous extraction. On this basis, the borehole layout is optimized.
