Abstract Limestone aquifer of shallow coal seam roof in Shanxi Lvliang Lishi Jinhui Rongtai Coal Industry Co., Ltd.is oxidized by wind into fragmented rock strata with extremely developed cracks, and local phase changes into medium-grained loose sandstone with strong water abundance property. Roadway construction faces two major safety threats : roof water and broken roof. According to the layout of regional geological conditions, the working face of air inlet and return air is excavated along the coal seam. And the top coal support and double roadway alternate circulation drainage technology are adopted.The cycle progress is determined by the theoretical calculation of the change of roadway slope. The study provides a safe, economical and feasible technical scheme for the mine to solve the two major threat problems of safety production, and provides reference experience for mines with similar geological conditions.
