Abstract The current situation of the automation technology in coal preparation plant of China was introduced, the coal preparation plant automation technology problems in our country was put forward. The main content of the automation technology of coal preparation plant, the control circuit problem, the possible consequences of an unreasonable automation system designed in coal preparation plant were described. By analyzing the development trend of the automation technology coal preparation plant, the optimal control and the substation video monitoring technology with a broader development prospects was expected.
