Abstract Mine ventilation system is the primary condition to ensure the safety of coal production, and its performance is proportional to the safety and efficiency of coal mining face. In order to improve the reliability of the ventilation system in 71509 working face of Huayang No. 2 Coal Mine, in view of the existing problems and actual conditions of the ventilation system in the working face, it was decided to transform the ventilation system. The measures were to add return air shaft, auxiliary return air shaft and return air inclined shaft. Combined with the working conditions of the working face, the ventilation system was finally determined to be equipped with FBCDZ-8 - No30C-2 × 630 ventilator. Practice shows that the production needs are fully met after the transformation.
