Abstract In order to realize the safe mining of No.10 coal in Mugua Mine, the study on the treatment of goaf in close distance spontaneous combustion coal seam group was carried out. Combined with the actual situation of 10-102 working face, the ground grouting fire prevention technology was determined. The borehole spacing was determined to be 10 ~ 15 m by theoretical calculation, and 3 rows of 42 boreholes were arranged. The grouting material used is yellow mud material, and the material consumption is calculated theoretically. The monitoring shows that the CO gas in the goaf is stable at about 0.000 8%, and the temperature is below 30 ℃. There is no spontaneous combustion in the goaf.
