Abstract In order to solve the problem of difficult gas extraction from low permeability coal seams in China, 22213 working face of Zhenchengdi Mine was taken as the research background and the combination of numerical simulation and field practice was used to study the hydraulic fracture permeability enhancement technology for low permeability coal seams. With the increase of rock elastic modulus, the extension length of rock fracture was shorter when the injection pressure was certain. Meanwhile, through field practice, it was found that the gas extraction effect of low permeability coal seam was significantly better after hydraulic fracturing, the feasibility of hydraulic fracturing was verified to increase the permeability of low permeability coal seam, and provide some reference for gas extraction of low permeability coal seam in mine.
