Abstract Xinglong coalfield in northern Hebei region formed a relatively unique recoil and overburden structure due to the influence of regional tectonics, and the geological conditions were very complex. Under the influence of the reverse thrust structure, Xinglong coalfield formed a typical stacked tile structure with extensive reverse faults, deep coal seams thrust to the surface to form shallow coal seams and outcrops, magmatic rocks intrude into coal seams by extending the faults, the reverse thrust structure was not conducive to gas dispersion in deep coal seams, but is conducive to gas overflow in shallow areas, forming a unique impact on gas geology.
