Abstract In order to improve the drilling technology of pressure relief pressure effect, with theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field application of the method, the drilling technical parameters for the design of the effect was designed. Based on FLAC simulation, the results showed that the hole diameter and hole spacing was the important factors influencing the drilling pressure relief effect, and the best hole diameter and hole spacing was obtained under the buried depth condition of 1 000 m. In Gao Mine 1107 fully mechanized coal face, the technology obtained the good effect of pressure relief, which guaranteed the safety mining of working face.
