Abstract In order to solve the problems of severe mine pressure, serious stress concentration in surrounding rock and difficult support in fully mechanized mining face with large mining height, the open-off cut of S10-102 face was taken in Muagua Mine as an example, the anchor cable support was analyzed, and the combined support scheme of anchor net beam & anchor (cable)"according to the actual situation in the field was given. The results of field test and mine pressure observation showed that the proposed support scheme improved the overall strength of the surrounding rock and the stability of the roadway by improving the mechanical properties of the surrounding rock mass, so that the deformation of the open-off cut roof and floor and the two sides can be effectively controlled. It ensured the safety during the installation of the support in the initial stage of mining in the mining face.
