Abstract Three separation processes of high salt wastewater containing sodium chloride and potassium chloride were introduced, hot steaming flash, hot steaming freeze and hot steaming flash/freezing hot steaming. All the three processes can achieve the complete separation of potassium and sodium salts, and all the water can be recycled. The precipitated salt conforms to the national standard, in which the sodium chloride conforms to the national standard GB/T5462-2003 and the refined industrial salt level II; potassium chloride conforms to the national standard GB/T7118-2008, industrial salt grade II.
