Abstract Aiming at the waste liquid discharged from the production of glycine by ammonolysis with chloroacetic acid, a comprehensive recovery schem of ammonium chloride and glycine in the waste liquid by evaporation crystallization-extraction aging-vacuum distillation process was proposed. The technological process, characteristics and economic benefits of comprehensive recovery of glycine waste liquid were analyzed. The practice shows that this process scheme not only solves the environmental pollution of waste liquid, but also has higher economic benefits, and the product ammonium chloride meets the requirements of GB 2946-2018.
