In order to avoid the shaft permeability accident and pass the abandoned shaft in the fully mechanized working face safely and smoothly, the layered grouting and reinforcement technical scheme was proposed and implemented, drilling in advance to grout and reinforce the shaft above and around, artificial false roof was created, the strength of the inner wall of the shaft was enhanced, and the sinking of loess and stones in the shaft was controlled. The results showed that through the layered grouting reinforcement, the abandoned shaft's protective coal column was liberated, the number of times of moving and pouring faces was reduced, which created an indirect economic and safety benefit of 500,000 Yuan and ensured the safe and efficient recovery of the comprehensive mining face.
