Abstract The control effect of different structural styles and structural subsidence on coal accumulation were studied, found that there is a certain internal relationship between the coal-bearing strata and the cumulative thickness of the coal seams. Basin (sag) tectonic subsidence and coal seam development are mainly manifested in three correlations. The relationship is based on the western gentle slope of Yanan in Qiongdongnan Basin and Ordos Basin. As an example, the Jurassic coal field in Huanglong and the coal seams of Haizhou Formation in Wangjiayingzi District of Fuxin Basin were used to analyze and study these three correlations.
