Abstract Aiming at the complex and difficult roadways affected by mining, a high prestressed strong anchor and anchor cable combined support system was proposed to control the surrounding rock deformation of the roadway, and it was successfully applied in the 7609 transport roadway of Wuyang Mine in Lu'an. The supporting parameters of the 7609 transportation roadway were described in detail, and the principle of the combined support of the high prestressed strong anchor bolt and cable was analyzed. The supporting system improved the bearing capacity of the surrounding rock, controlled the deformation of the surrounding rock, and solved the mining problem of the dynamically affected support with large deformation in 7609 transportation roadway.
