In order to further improve and application methods of dealing with the hard roof problem, combined with field condition of Guozhuang Mine 1305 face, deep hole blasting method at the beginning of the fully-mechanized caving mining roof pre-splitting before was adopted. Through the pre-splitting blasting parameters, layout, and drilling blasting process optimization design achieved the expected blasting effect. Before and after the drilling blasting peep instrument peep showed reasonable drilling parameters and layout, which can achieve good recovery of full-mechanized caving mining face roof before pre-splitting effect. Pre-splitting recovery before the roof was not only good to solve the pressure of the problems of hard roof, but also effectively improved the top-coal recovery rate.
