Abstract The total resource of Santanghu coalfield is 51.444 billion tons, of which 5.618 billion tons are rich in oil and high in oil. In order to study the hydroliquefaction performance of Santanghu high oil coal in Xinjiang, the separated gas phase and liquid-solid phase of three groups of samples, which are baishihu coal, Santanghu coal and Gironde coal ,the high-pressure autoclave hydrogenation test, and the hydrogen consumption rate, gas yield, oil yield, asphaltene yield and conversion rate were calculated respectively by control variable meyhod.The effects of reaction temperature,the reaction pressure and type and amount of catalyst on hydroliquefaction performance of high oil coal were explored.The results show that when the reaction temperature is 450 ℃, the reaction pressure is 19 MPa, the constant temperature time is 120 min, the amount of catalyst bricc-2 is 2%, baishihu coal, Santanghu coal and Gironde coal all have good hydrogen liquefaction effect. It provides more detailed basic data for the project scale-up of coal hydroliquefaction in Santanghu.
