To solue the issues; of  the replacement of non-renewable deacetal resin (2 # resin), which is utilized in deacetalization resin unit for refining ethylene glycol product in the coal-to-ethylene glycol distillation unit of Shouyang Chemical Corporation Ltd.of  Yangquan Coal Group, the performance of the dealdehyde resin from different manufacturers was compared, the samples from ethylene glycol dealdehyde resin manufacturer CJ-1 and CJ-2 were selected, and the experiments of  ultraviolet transmittance enhancement and deodorization of the samples for ethylene glycol weve cavried out. The results show that, as compared to CJ-1, the sample of  CJ-2 exhibit better performance and data stability for the ultraviolet transmittance of, and both samples possess prominent deodorization effect. This method can be used as a reference for choosing dealdehyde resin for ethylene glycol production enterprises of the same type in China.
