Abstract By analyzing the influence of the collapse column on the surrounding rock stability of the fully mechanized mining face, the pressure step, the pressure behavior of the mine, and the stress on the roof, the position of the stopping line of the working face was rationally optimized and designed. The surrounding rock of the working face was relatively stable.
