Coalbed methane is a clean energy source, reasonable fracturing technology and safe mining are the key factors for high yield. Based on the drilling data of Gaohe Mine and adjacent areas, combined with the current status of safe mining of coalbed methane in China, fracturing process and safety management of coalbed methane reservoirs in Gaohe Mine were comprehensively analyzed. The results showed that the No. 3 coal reservoir in the area had the characteristics of low reservoir pressure, low permeability, low elastic modulus of the top and bottom plates and low stress. It was recommended to use active water fracturing technology and select quartz sand, safety management measures were formulated from three aspects of coalbed methane mining technology, equipment and coal seam mining.
