Abstract In view of the problems in the operation of MXG-500/4.5m shearer under large dip angle mining conditions, the 2608 working face of Dongpang Mine was taken as an example, the causes of the problems were analyzed and solutions were proposed. Practice showed the reliability and adaptability of the shearer under this working condition were improved.
