Abstract The flowmeter verification work is done by the standard laboratory equipment. Reynolds number is one of the important parameters of vortex flowmeter. The change of Reynolds number could make certain impacts on the vortex flowmeter verification results.The measurement features of vortex flowmeter were introduced. Using approaches of field experiments,the appearance of Reynolds similar principles in different media and different temperatures by comparing the calibration of the instrument k coefficient were analyzed.The calibration of the instrument coefficient were compared by standard devices in type evaluation laboratory.The results showed that if external conditions were similar geometrically and Reynolds numbers were equal, the flow state would be similar geometrically.
