Abstract In recent years, with the continuous development of methanol synthesis technology, higher requirements have been put forward for its process operation. From methanol synthesis process as a starting point,the factors that affect methanol synthesis were discussed,which are the operating temperature, operating pressure, fresh air, hydrogen carbon ratio, inert gas content and catalyst performance and airspeed. It is proposed that the influence of these factors should be overcome in methanol production, the production process should be optimized, and the yield and quality of methanol should be improved.
