Abstract

In recent years,graphene as a carrier material for electrocatalysts,has opened up new avenues for the field of fuel cells due to its large specific surface area, high electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, and strong stability during the catalytic reaction.The research progress of graphene-based composite metal nanomaterials synthesized with graphene as carrier and supported by single and multi-metals and metal oxides in the field of fuel cells was reviewed. The catalytic activity of various composite materials for the electrocatalytic oxidation of small alcohol molecules was analyzed and evaluated. The application of graphene as a metal catalyst carrier in the field of fuel cells was described in detail.It is proposed that the future direction of further research and development is a new type of high performance, and that precious metals be replaced with cheap metals,and while minimizing the cost of metal use, the electrocatalytic performance of the catalyst is maximally increased from controllable nanostructures and sizes, and it is extended to applications such as ecology, sensing, and nanomedicine.
