Abstract Ordovician limestone water bursting coefficient of -300 m No. 9 coal seam of Dongpang Mine was bigger than critical value 0.1 MPa/m, mining threatened by Ordovician limestone water, geological and hydrogeological information of Ordovician ash aquifer were collected, rules of hydrogeological characteristics were summarized. The study result showed that there was karst-cranny developing in the mine, mostly in No. 7 and No. 8 phase of Fengfeng Group, main aquifer in No. 8 phase of Fengfeng Group, with uneven watery and obvious zoning characteristics, SO42-, Ca2+, Mg2+ as discriminant ion, the grouting reconstruction of Ordovician aquifer area could be 0 ~ 40 m below top interface of aquifer.
