Abstract According to the high gas content of 3201 working face, especially the gas problem when crossing geological structure, based on the present situation of the mine ventilation and safe mining, fan selection was introduced in detail from procedures, results and design requirements. The ventilation capacity of the working face and the selection of supporting equipment were analyzed, and the fan model was finally determined, which could meet the needs of safe production of the mine.
