Abstract In the process of extra thick seam mining, it is necessary to control the spontaneous combustion of coal seam in goaf, the equalizing ventilation technology can not only reduce local ventilation time, but also reduce local ventilation, air leakage has played a role in the prevention and control of fire.It can also affect the concentration of harmful gases and oxygen in the air through air flow control. In this paper, the application of equalizing ventilation technology in the 61119 working face of the Shuiyu coal mine is presented, prevention and control of spontaneous combustion of coal seam by combined nitrogen injection and inhibitor, control the air flow and wind pressure in the mining area at the same time, it provides a good working environment for underground mining.
