Abstract he important part during the development of water pollution emission standards is the screening of pollution factors. The screening methods of various pollutants were compared, and finally the analytic hierarchy process was selected to screen the pollutant factors through the study of domestic and foreign research experience.The pollution factor and the environmental effect were analyzed as the main influencing factors. At the same time, the weight of each index was determined and the pollution factor method with priority control was selected as the method of selecting the pollutant in the watershed water environment, which was the important basis for the development of river basin pollutant discharge standards.
