Abstract The degradation of methyl orange were studied using immobilized type photocatalyst prepared by sol-gel method. The influences TiO2- zeolite loading, pH ,oxidants,etc.on the degradation of methyl orange.The results indicated that the catalyst had a high efficiency in photocatalytic oxidizing of methyl orange, the removal yield of methyl orange reached 94% after 1 h,when 100 mg/L methyl orange solution was dealed with, under the conditions of 1.24% of zeolite loading,pH = 11, 25 mL/s of aeration rate, 30°C of reaction temperature. The photocatalytic activity of catalyst was high, the active materials did not run off, and its manufacture was easy and could be reused.
