Abstract The key factors affecting the reliability of the mechanical properties of the scraper conveyor is meshing contact between the chain and the sprocket ring. Using ANSYS / LS-DYNA finite element module, analysis of circular chain scraper conveyor drive sprocket stress state in the engaged state. And then through the use of surface morphology measuring instrument to collect the sprocket wear morphology. The results show that when the ring chain is in contact with the sprocket, the tight side of the ring chain is subjected to the load, and the sprocket chain is mainly wear and abrasive wear.
