Abstract Taking Shengli open-pit coal mine as an example, concept and technology of green mining were systematically introduced. The relationship between water environment factors and green production in open pit mines was analyzed, the role of water environment factors in green mining was discussed as well, which was an an active exploration of green mining in open pit coal mine.
