The development process, the technological route, the application field and the effect of post-treatment on the flame retardant properties of the flame retardant recycled cellulose fibers were expounded. Several flame retardant recycled cellulose fibers which were successfully developed at major domestic and foreign enterprises were detailed introduced. Various types of flame retardant recycled cellulose fibers were studied and analyzed, including the characteristics, the production process, the advantages and disadvantages, the applicability of the fibers and the characteristics of the enterprises. According to the analysis，the advantages，present problems and corresponding suggestions in production and application were put forward，and the researching direction  was also pointed out.
