Abstract Aiming at the problems in the traditional plugging of gas extraction borehole, the main reasons of drainage borehole leakage were analyzed, and the it was put out that improving the quality of the drilling plugging is the key to improve the pumping effect. Based on extensive research of advantages and disadvantages of current sealing material and technology, the super high water filling material was researched to be used in the plugging of gas extraction borehole. The experiment was successful in the Roadway No.13171 of Tucheng Coal Mine, expanding the scope of application of ultra high water material and providing a reference for other underground drilling plugging..
