Based on rock stratum conditions and site conditions of roadway, the medium borehole smooth blasting technology was applied to limestone roadway. The quantities of limestone roadway drivage were reduced, circulation footage was improved, and driving speed was effectively promoted. Through the design of cut blasting and smooth blasting, blasting parameters and construction technology of charging and jam were analyzed and optimized. Roadway daily average driving speed is reached to 3.38 m, increased by 39.1 %. Blasthole utilization on average is about 90 %. Roadway contour has reached expected requirement, quantity of over excavation is within 100 mm. Smooth blasting technology has achieved better effect, and provides a theoretical and practical guiding significance for similar engineering.
