Over recent years,many DEM production companies have accumulated a large number of complete DEM data in process of manufacturing operations, during land consolidation and DOM (Digital Orthophoto Map) production, particularly on confirmation of land right, census of national conditions and many other projects. These DEM data with high precision and high density is in line with current trend. Intra-regional datas are seamless connected along with feature of high resolution in unified refrence frame, which are valuable data resources in surveying and mapping industry. But these scattered storage is not conducive to preservation, inquiry and utilization, such datas are urgently needed to gather scientificly and uniformly. Seeking results and practical significance of setting up a database for DEM data in every region were designed to reflect pratical work over the several years.
