Abstract In order to explor the inlet and outlet water of the sewage treatment plant in Shijiazhuang city, the acute toxicity of water samples was detected by Qinghai Vibrio Q67, and the genetic toxicity was detected by Vicia faba micronucleus test. The results show that the influents of three sewage treatment plants on luminescent bacteria inhibition rate is 32.80%~62.80% and micronucleus rate of Vicia faba root tip cells is 4.09‰ ~7.60‰. Based on the national dyeing wastewater discharge standards, the light inhibition rate and the micronucleus rate of the effluents is 8.20%~18.40% and 1.19‰~3.75‰ respectively. The toxicity evaluation results show that the biological toxicity of wastewater is significantly lower than influents, but it still has different toxic effects on the aquatic environment.
