Abstract No. 4 coal seam with large thickness and hardness of roof coal in Shaanxi Huoshiju Mine, delayed top coal caving, large coal block plugging caving position, periodical pressure energy appear as adopting top coal caving mining, which affect the mining rate and the safety of recovery mining. Deep hole blast pre-fracture technology was adopted in 8501 working face, the practice showed that the technology was effective, with good economic and social benefit and promotion value.
