A facile method for the synthesis of zinc L-ascorbate was reported．Zinc oxide reacted with L-ascorbic acid under the protection of antioxidants. Then the reaction solution was filtered before dried by spray drying to prepare zinc L-ascorbate and the yield was over 93%. This method is a simple and environment friendly procedure by which the product prepared is of high quality.
