| Determination of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide in the air and causes analysis of air pollution |

Abstract The content of nitrogen oxides in the air of Xingtai was determinated by naphthyl ethylenediamine dihydrochloride spectrophotometric method. The regression equation of standard curve of nitrogen dioxide is y = 0.191 4 x + 0.003 6, r =0.999 7. The content of sulfur dioxide in the air was determined by formaldehyde buffer solution of hydrochloric acid spectrophotometric method. The regression equation of standard curve of sulfur dioxide is y= 0.436 2 x + 0.004 5, r = 0.999 9. By measuring the air samples of Dahuoquan Park and Xingtai Industrial Park, the results show that the highest concentration of nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide is in the air of Xingtai in November. The content of nitrogen oxide is 0.082 mg/m3 in Dahuoquan Park, which is 0.123 mg/m3 in Xingtai Industrial Park; the content of sulfur dioxide is 0.116 mg/m3 in Dahuoquan Park and which is 0.139 mg/m3 in Xingtai Industrial Park. Besides, the causes of air pollution in Xingtai from many aspects, such as its industrial structure and layout, the use of traditional fuels, vehicle exhaust, terrain climate conditions and other reasons were analyzed.
