Abstract Highly intense extraction of 10 Mt-level fully-mechanized mine face of Tongxi Mine produces high concentration of dust. In order to tackle this issue, the study reasonably laid out water supply network and adopted methods like mist spray, coal seam water infusion, spraying water to remove floating dust and setting water curtain to control dust and evaluate the current-stage dust control effect through on-spot observation and measured data. The study found out the rules of dust production and transportation in 10 Mt-level mine face and room for improvement in existing dust control measures. Based on the findings, this paper puts forward measures to improve dust control and ensures safe production of the mine.
