Abstract Because of low cost, easy to obtain, good wash gas effect and high technical stability, the low temperature methanol cleaning technology is widely used in the coal chemical industry. The main purpose is to remove some acid gases such as H2S, CO2 and COS in CO, H2. The characteristics and advantages of low temperature methanol washing technology, the principle of gas washing, the key operation and the application in the coal chemical industry were introduced.It is pointed out the technical characteristics and key points of process operation of low temperature methanol washing gas is the key to the effect of wash gas,and large and low temperature methanol washing devicesshould be developed in the future of coal chemical industry.
