| Sedimentary Facies Analysis of the Modern Yellow River Delta |

Abstract Based on a large number of literature research, langforms of the Yellow River delta area was taken and analyzed by Google earth software, sedimentary facies and sedimentary model were drew combining with regional geological and deposition setting, the sedimentary facies and depositing mechanism of Yellow River delta were studied and the development model of delta was analyzed in details. The study shows that the Yellow River delta formed its unique bird-foot delta due to that fluvial action is stronger than waves; the Yellow River delta develops three layer structures including delta plain, delta front and pro-delta; the marsh micro-facies is very rich in delta plain, and the river mouth sand bares are well developed in the northeast of pro-delta;plain distributary channels are often cut off.
