Abstract Driver is the one of three core parts of electric vehicle. It plays a very important role to the electric vehicle performance and safety reliability. In order to improve reliability of driver, electric vehicle driver has been special reinforcement designed and opmitized from selection of elements/components, derating design, thermal design, anti-shock design and fault-tolerant design. After electric vehicle driver design completed, platform experiment was completed,and the design target was met by loading and road-test . It is pointed out that without significantly increasing the BOM cost of the product, the vehicle-applicable level is achieved thereby providing a new idea for exploring the design of electric vehicle driver.
