Abstract In order to study gas outburst effect under filling mining, based on Dongzhouyao Mining coal and gas outburst, the coal and ground stress combination theory, strata stress, residual gas content and permeability were introduced, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation method were adopted, measured data optimization numerical model was used to turn stress field to flow field. Analysis and calculation and simulation results showed that gas remainder quantity of under-protecting coal stratum protected coal seam reduced to 4.52~6.06 m3/t, which was close to theoretical analysis trends, simulated result principal permeability amplified nearly 1 181 times, middle goaf permeability in central expanded 65.69 times. Based on the analysis of the measured data, under-protecting coal stratum filling mining gas outburst solution effect was obvious, surface buildings deformation accorded with national level I protection standards.
