According to the results of drilling gas desorption measurement data, the major factors affecting gas deposit geology was analyzed by using gas geological theory, the basic laws of gas deposit exploration area was revealed. Overall seam gas content of the coal mining area with the surrounding area was at a low level, gas zonation was mainly gas weathering zone, with scattered methane zone. Slide structure, seam depth are the main factors controlling the occurrence of gas in the area, while coal roof and floor, faults, folds and other factors also have an impact on gas occurrence.
